Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · 26 October 2026

In plain English: Approdo is in early access. When an administrator connects a Microsoft 365 tenant, Approdo's Harbour reader may read that tenant's SharePoint sites, under the permissions the administrator consents to on Microsoft's own page. You agree to connect only tenants you are authorised to administer. Approdo is provided as-is during early access, and you can remove its access at any time.

1. Accepting these terms

1.1 Agreeing by use. By using Approdo — the website at approdo.app, the Harbour at harbour.approdo.app and the Harbour reader app registration in Microsoft Entra (together, the "Service") — you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not connect a tenant and stop using the Service.

1.2 Business use and authority. Approdo is a business tool for IT administrators and managed service providers. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you are acting in the course of business and, if you accept for an organisation, that you have authority to bind it. These Terms are a business-to-business contract.

1.3 Privacy. Our Privacy Statement explains what personal data we hold and why, and forms part of these Terms. If the two conflict on a data-handling point, the Privacy Statement wins for that point.

2. Who we are

Approdo is a product of The Cloud Platform Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10685442), registered office 36 Grosvenor Crescent, London, NW9 9DA, United Kingdom. The Cloud Platform Limited operates the Service and is the party you contract with. In Microsoft's consent page the Harbour reader shows The Cloud Platform Limited as its verified publisher. For any question about these Terms, use the contact page.

3. What the Service does

3.1 Connecting a tenant. An administrator of a Microsoft 365 tenant connects it by granting consent on Microsoft's own page. That page lists the permissions the Harbour reader asks for. Approdo acts in a tenant only within the permissions consented there.

3.2 Reading, not changing. The permissions the Harbour reader asks for are read permissions: reading items in the tenant's SharePoint site collections and signing in to read the user profile. Connecting a tenant changes nothing in it.

3.3 Early access. The Service is in early access. Features may change or be withdrawn, no payment is currently taken, and the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.

4. Your obligations

If you breach this section we may suspend or end your access (section 7). For serious breach, above all connecting a tenant you are not authorised to administer, we may do so immediately.

5. Intellectual property

5.1 What we own. The Service, including the Approdo name and brand, the software and the website content, is owned by or licensed to The Cloud Platform Limited. We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable licence, personal to you, to use the Service while you have access. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or systematically extract it.

5.2 What is yours. Your tenant and its content stay yours, under Microsoft's terms and your control. We claim no ownership over them.

5.3 Feedback. If you send us feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use it to run and improve the Service.

6. Liability

6.1 What we never limit. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under the law of England and Wales.

6.2 What we do limit. Subject to 6.1 and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

6.3 The honest consequence during early access. No payment is currently taken, so during unpriced early access that cap may be zero.

7. Ending access

7.1 You can remove Approdo's access at any time. A Global Administrator of your tenant can remove the Harbour reader from Enterprise applications in Microsoft Entra, which ends its access to the tenant.

7.2 We can suspend or end access for cause if you breach these Terms, or where it is reasonably needed for the safety of a tenant, another customer or the Service. Where reasonable we will tell you why first.

7.3 We can end early access on reasonable notice to connected customers.

8. Changes to these Terms

These Terms are versioned; the version and date are at the top of this page. If we make a material change we will publish the new version here and tell connected customers before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, remove Approdo's access (7.1) before it takes effect.

9. Governing law and general terms

9.1 Law. These Terms, and any non-contractual obligations connected with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

9.2 Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Statement are the entire agreement between you and The Cloud Platform Limited for the Service.

9.3 Severability and waiver. If a clause is unenforceable the rest continue. Not enforcing a right at once is not a waiver of it.

9.4 Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them on reasonable notice, for example to a successor company.

9.5 Talk to us first. If you have a complaint or a question about these Terms, raise it through the contact page: we would rather explain and fix than argue.

9.6 After these Terms end. Sections 5, 6 and 9 still apply after these Terms end.
